Rachel Hynes is an actor, writer, director and musician. She spent ten years in Seattle performing with the likes of Seattle Shakespeare Company, Theatre Schmeater, Annex Theatre and Open Circle Theater. A regular on the cabaret circuit, she has appeared at Live Girls Theater’s monthly cabaret, Macha Monkey’s MEOW, the Stay Up Late Show and Annex Theater’s Spin the Bottle, bringing a variety of characters, songs and puppetry to willing audiences. She wordsmithed her way through several years as MC Rachie Rach, writing raps with the lady rap duo Voxy and making guest appearances with Mark Siano and his Freedom Dancers. As an actor-creator, Rachel was an original member of HKPG (High Kindergarten Performance Group) and co-founded and is a creative principal of Helsinki Syndrome.
Rachel received her MFA in Lecoq Based Actor-Created Theatre from The London International School of Performing Arts (through Naropa University). She is currently based in London UK.
